Meet Jessica

About Me

Hi, my name is Jessica Palmer, and I am so glad you found my services. After going through therapy at different stages of my life to help address family stressors, my own anxiety, and traumatic experiences, I knew I wanted to help others experiencing similar struggles. I know how important it can be to create a strong support system who understands how to support someone experiencing these challenges. This has grown my passion in working with younger individuals and their families who feel their life has been overtaken by anxiety, OCD, or trauma. I am confident in my skills to help support you along your journey to find peace.

Education and Training Experience

I received my BA in social work at St. Edward’s University in Austin Texas and my Master’s degree in Social Work at California State University San Marcos. I have extensive training in treating OCD and anxiety for children, adolescents, and young adults, and in-depth experience treating individuals struggling with trauma. While I have highlighted being trained in ERP treatment for OCD and anxiety and TF-CBT for trauma, I am also trained in implementing other therapy approaches such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have experience working at various levels of care; from providing weekly individual and family outpatient therapy to partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, as well as providing school based therapeutic services to children and adolescents. I have been a practicing therapist since 2017. As I get to know you, I will make sure to meet you where you are at and find the best approach to meet your needs. I am currently licensed in both California and Texas.
